Orient Express

ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA's  AUTUMN WINTER 2011 collection is in the mood for China.  After arriving and successfully establishing in the country  20 years ago, Zegna this season is celebrating the extraordinary fusion of the East and West. The mixing of both worlds create an interesting fashion narrative taken from vintage uniforms and 1940's clothing in subdued hues such as Anthracite greys, tea and mahogany tones ranging from red to brown and touches of bamboo green.  Zegna's tailoring excellence is exemplified in contemporary silhouettes fitting for the man who knows the true meaning of luxury and how to wear them from day to night.

Style is in the detail from apparel to accessories as seen in highlights of shiny woven silk with an image of classical Chinese art, suede embroideries inspired from the imperial paintings, bamboo cane shapes in their “15milmil15” wool pinstripe, silk satin/velvet garments in modern cuts, silk ottoman jackets with light padding in kimono-cut version, leather combat-type boot with a slightly up curved tip,‘slipper-like’ shoes, holdall bags in printed leather, and “Duo Ties” with a hidden Zegna seal in Chinese handwriting. Zegna captures the historical tales of the East in smart chic luxe that define modern menswear dressing.
